Android SDK 4.0.2 Update 화면

2011년 12월 16일자로 Android 4.0.3. SDK가 출시되었습니다.

안드로이드 4.0.3은 안드로이드 4.0 아이스크림 샌드위치(Ice Cream Sandwich) Platform의 "증분 배포"로, 다양한 최적화 및 버그들 수정을 제공한다 새로운 API level은 API 15입니다.

바뀐내용은 아래와 같습니다.

Android 4.0.3 Platform and Updated SDK tools

Social stream API in Contacts provider: Applications that use social stream data such as status updates and check-ins can now sync that data with each of the user’s contacts, providing items in a stream along with photos for each. This new API lets apps show users what the people they know are doing or saying, in addition to their photos and contact information.

Calendar provider enhancements. Apps can now add color to events, for easier tracking, and new attendee types and states are now available.

New camera capabilities. Apps can now check and manage video stabilization and use QVGA resolution profiles where needed.

Accessibility refinements. Improved content access for screen readers and new status and error reporting for text-to-speech engines.

Incremental improvements in graphics, database, spell-checking, Bluetooth, and more.

This morning we announced some exciting upgrades to Google+ Hangouts including bringing hangouts to Google+ Messenger on+Android devices. Android폰에서 지원하는 Google의 SNS인 Google+가 있습니다.

데스크탑에선 Google+에 화상통화 및 화상회의를 할수 있는 동영상 채팅같은 Hangouts을 Android용 Google+에도 사용할수 있다고 광고를 하더군요.

즉 휴대폰에서도 화상채팅, 화상통화, 화상회의를 쉽게 할수 있는 Android용 앱이 Google에서 출시되었다는 결론.

Google Android팀의 Vic Gundotra씨께서는 조만간, Google Hangouts이 포함된 새로운 Google+ 앱을 안드로이드 마켓(Android Market)에 출시 및 업데이트를 하겠다고 하는군요.

위의 동영상은 Android폰인 Galaxy Nexus를 가지고 Google Hangouts를 지원하는 Android용 Google+를 가지고 화상 채팅하는 광고 동영상입니다.^^

여기서 눈길을 받은것이 있었습니다. 한국이 1위라는 사실에 기뻤습니다. 손녀딸을 안고 펄쩍펄쩍 뛰었습니다. (이거 MB각하께서 쓰시던 말인데? 나 아직 여친도 없고, 결혼도 안했는데 ㅠㅠ)

(2위 홍콩, 3위 대만, 5위 싱가포르 모두 중화권이면서, 한국보다 인구수가 적은데도 많은 다운로드수를 기록했다는 것도 신기했습니다.)

여기서 결론 - 한국어를 기반으로 영어(English)와 중국어(Mandarin Chinese, 普通话,國語,華語) 모두 해야한다??. (1억 인구를 가진 일본이 없다는게 신기하였음. 중국 대륙이야 안드로이드 마켓대신 다른 마켓이 들어왔으니 뭐 할말 없다만)

역시나 1위 카테고리는 게임!

구글이 안드로이드 마켓의 통계자료를 그래픽으로 보기 좋게 만들어서 그림만 봐도 충분히 이해됩니다.

2011년 11월 15일, Google에서 "There are now more than 200 million Android devices activated around the world." - 안드로이드 기기 2억대 개통(繁體中文: Android 2億台達成。, 简体中文: Android 2亿台达成。) 하였다는 기념 동영상을 공개했었습니다.

이후 오늘부터 10일간(12월 7일~12월 16일)  안드로이드 마켓에서 다운로드 횟수 100억번을 넘겼다는 걸로 "10일간의 선물 최고의 프리미엄 앱 90% 할인"을 하여 인기 유료앱 8가지들을 10센트(한국돈 100원)에 판다고 합니다.

달리나음 님이 번역하신 "안드로이드 그래픽의 진실은 뭘까요?"

안드로이드 OS에서 그래픽을 터치스크린에 표현하는 부분을 하드웨어 가속으로 이뤄진다는 걸 알게 되었고, 전체(Full) 하드웨어 가속은 Android 3.0 Honeycomb부터 시작되었다.

안드로이드 OS에서 부자연스러운 화면은 타이밍이 늦거나 아님 그리기 방식 차이다.

 GPU 가속없이 CPU만으로도 현재의 해상도는 문제없이 초당 60프레임을 재생한다
