On Tuesday, we announced that Android Market passed 10 Billion app downloads....and since then, you’ve been asking for more details about how we got there. Sooo we took a closer look at the stats and wanted to share a bit more about where, when and how we got to 10 billion app downloads with the infographic below.

But which app was actually lucky number 10 billion? +Photobucket, and they’ll be getting a great prize package, including tickets to next year’s Google I/O Developer conference.

이번주 화요일(2011년 12월 6일), 구글은 Android Market이 100억번째 다운로드수를 넘겼다고 발표하였습니다. 이후, 여러분들은 우리가 거기까지 어떻게 얻었는지 자세한 장보를 요청했었다. 그래서 통계를 자세히 보았고 어디서, 언제 어떻게 100억번째 다운로드수를 얻었는지를 공유하게 되었습니다.

여기서 눈길을 받은것이 있었습니다. 한국이 1위라는 사실에 기뻤습니다. 손녀딸을 안고 펄쩍펄쩍 뛰었습니다. (이거 MB각하께서 쓰시던 말인데? 나 아직 여친도 없고, 결혼도 안했는데 ㅠㅠ)

Android Market에서 Top 10 Most App-crazed Countries(최대 앱을 다운로드받은 나라들 10개)
1. 대한민국(Republic of Korea, 大韓民國, 大韩民国)
2. 홍콩(Hong Kong, 香港)
3. 대만(Taiwan, 台灣, 台湾)
4. 미국(United States, 美國, 美国)
5. 싱가폴(Singapore, 新加坡)
6. 스웨덴(Sweden,瑞典)
7. 이스라엘(Israel,以色列)
8. 덴마크(Denmark,丹麥,丹麦)
9. 네덜란드(Netherlands,荷蘭,荷兰)

한국이 앱 다운로드수 1위를 차지했군요. 역시 스마트폰 보급율이 높은 이 나라!

(2위 홍콩, 3위 대만, 5위 싱가포르 모두 중화권이면서, 한국보다 인구수가 적은데도 많은 다운로드수를 기록했다는 것도 신기했습니다.)

여기서 결론 - 한국어를 기반으로 영어(English)와 중국어(Mandarin Chinese, 普通话,國語,華語) 모두 해야한다??. (1억 인구를 가진 일본이 없다는게 신기하였음. 중국 대륙이야 안드로이드 마켓대신 다른 마켓이 들어왔으니 뭐 할말 없다만)

역시나 1위 카테고리는 게임!
